This is my second purchase of this item. This is my primary magazine for low profile concealed carry, with an extra round over the factory magazine. Ordered the second one to rotate magazines.

The pin set screws are set with Loctite® at the specific tension we recommend, and will generally never need an adjustment. Tightening the base pad screw is not recommended and may be difficult because the screw is set with Loctite®; trying to force the set screw to turn could result in stripping the screw. We do not warranty base pads for stripped heads on set screws or pins lost in result of tampering with the set screw.

This Taran Tactical Innovations GLOCK base pad is designed for the GLOCK 42. It adds 1 extra round to the magazine and is only a 8th of an inch longer than the stock base pad. We use our patented push pin design to lock the base pad to the magazine, which makes for easy field stripping and cleaning of your magazine. Just push down the pin, slide the base pad on and push the pin up to lock it onto the magazine. Our one piece design is great because there are no extra parts or tools needed to attach the base pad to your magazine. The base pad itself is machined out of billet aluminum and is hard anodized to ensure durable long lasting color. All machining and manufacturing is done in the USA.

I bought this after success with the first one. It ran flawlessly as well (see my other review for details.) I purchased these assembled and I’m glad I did.
This worked flawlessly through 6mags with a round in the chamber (9). It is difficult to get that eighth round in, but still worked every time. I had Striker Force ones and you could not have a round in the chamber or it would fail. The little extra weight also helps the empty mag fall more easily. I highly recommend this product. I just bought another one and will test it soon. Don’t expect any problems.
