WILL NOT WORK ON THE 43X or 48! Here is a link to the 43X and 48 basepads for the Shields Magazines, https://tarantacticalinnovations.com/glock-48-and-43x-basepad-for-shield-arms-magazine/?ctk=c4c11537-a0c8-41b5-a4b6-9f27f1a564fe&showHidden=true

The pin set screws are set with Loctite® at the specific tension we recommend, and will generally never need an adjustment. Tightening the base pad screw is not recommended and may be difficult because the screw is set with Loctite®; trying to force the set screw to turn could result in stripping the screw. We do not warranty base pads for stripped heads on set screws or pins lost in result of tampering with the set screw.

We use our patented push pin design to lock the base pad to the magazine, which makes for easy field stripping and cleaning of your magazine. Just push down the pin, slide the base pad on and push the pin up to lock it onto the magazine. Our one piece design is great because there are no extra parts or tools needed to attach the base pad to your magazine. The base pad itself is machined out of billet aluminum and is hard anodized to ensure durable long lasting color. All machining and manufacturing is done in the USA.

This part is well manufactured and fits well, however the set screw protrudes from the right side and is not flush with the baseplate as it comes from the factory. Adjustment is not advisable so it sticks out just enough to be very uncomfortable and dig into the heel of the hand. Have not fired the pistol yet with this extension so I can't say if it is going to affect performance. Also once the base plate is installed it is virtually impossible to remove it without damaging the spring since the spring now sits deeper into the baseplate so when trying to slide the base plate off, the spring stays captured in the base plate. There may be some trick to getting it off, but I can't find it in the instructions on the website. I have purchased the +2 extension. Hopefully the set screw on it will be flush.

  • Love it!

I went with the +2 as a happy medium from the +1/+3. I'm glad I did because it was a good choice. Fit and finish was 10/10 and only ordering from them directly do you get the 10% power spring included.
