WILL NOT WORK ON THE 43X or 48! Here is a link to the 43X and 48 basepads for the Shields Magazines, https://tarantacticalinnovations.com/glock-48-and-43x-basepad-for-shield-arms-magazine/?ctk=c4c11537-a0c8-41b5-a4b6-9f27f1a564fe&showHidden=true
The pin set screws are set with Loctite® at the specific tension we recommend, and will generally never need an adjustment. Tightening the base pad screw is not recommended and may be difficult because the screw is set with Loctite®; trying to force the set screw to turn could result in stripping the screw. We do not warranty base pads for stripped heads on set screws or pins lost in result of tampering with the set screw.

This Taran Tactical Innovations GLOCK base pad is designed for the GLOCK 43. This TTI base pad adds 2 extra rounds to the magazine. We use our patented push pin design to lock the base pad to the magazine, which makes for easy field stripping and cleaning of your magazine. Just push down the pin, slide the base pad on and push the pin up to lock it onto the magazine. Our one piece design is great because there are no extra parts or tools needed to attach the base pad to your magazine. The base pad itself is machined out of billet aluminum and is hard anodized to ensure durable long lasting color. All machining and manufacturing is done in the USA.

I have the +1 model in OD green. It's a high quality product, the machining and anodization are both well done, which I'm guessing is where the justification for the $30 price tag comes from. It's nice to have it offered in so many fun colors, as well. The feel of loading the seventh round is about what any other Glock mag feels like when loading the last round. It's not easy, but you don't feel like you're going to break something. I have only put around 70 rounds through this mag since adding the TTI baseplate, but so far it has been completely reliable. I have relatively skinny fingers so the TTI baseplate allows me to get a more comfortable grip than the factory flush grip, however not as comfortable as the Pearce +1 extension. The trade off is that the Pearce extension prints more under my shirt, whereas the TTI baseplate adds an almost negligible length to the grip. For this reason I have been carrying my 43 with the TTI, and the Pearce mag stays in my car. My only qualm is the strange push-pin mechanism that retains the baseplate. The only reason I can think of using something like this is that it eliminates the need for a floorplate retainer, giving a tiny bit of extra room inside the mag, and reducing the overall height by about a millimeter. I am not entirely comfortable with my baseplate needing an Allen key to remove. But, Glock baseplates are a pain to remove anyways, so it's not really a huge deal. Also, due to the design of the Glock magazine, even if the TTI push-pin falls out, the baseplate will still most likely stay attached and function. TTI Rep: No need to tight the allen key on the side. If you were to tighten down the allen key you will void the warranty. The screw is there for us when we assemble the basepad and we set the screw with lock-tite to ensure a it will not fall out. All that you need to do is push the pin down slide it onto the magazine and push the pin up to lock it onto the magazine.
Well made, perfect fit. Grip feel is great. No problems at range. Now this pistol has enough rounds to carry.
