The pin set screws are set with Loctite® at the specific tension we recommend, and will generally never need an adjustment. Tightening the base pad screw is not recommended and may be difficult because the screw is set with Loctite®; trying to force the set screw to turn could result in stripping the screw. We do not warranty base pads for stripped heads on set screws or pins lost in result of tampering with the set screw.

This Taran Tactical Innovations GLOCK base pad is designed for the GLOCK 43. This TTI base pad adds 2 extra rounds to the magazine. We use our patented push pin design to lock the base pad to the magazine, which makes for easy field stripping and cleaning of your magazine. Just push down the pin, slide the base pad on and push the pin up to lock it onto the magazine. Our one piece design is great because there are no extra parts or tools needed to attach the base pad to your magazine. The base pad itself is machined out of billet aluminum and is hard anodized to ensure durable long lasting color. All machining and manufacturing is done in the USA.

These base plates are a good upgrade for Glock 43s. The +1 base plates are durable, easy to install, and add minimal length compared to the OEM base plates. Unfortunately it is sort of a permanent solution. There is no easy to remove them once installed. Also the price is quite high. At $30 a pop, it was hard justifying the price. These base plates look great but should you have several magazines, this quickly becomes an expensive habit. This is why I gave it 3 stars.
This Glock 43 +1 mag extension works perfectly and is very well manufactured. When I first installed it, I noticed the magazine would not engage cleanly in the gun and the first round sometimes jammed when feeding. I disassemble the mag and discovered that the spring was not fully seated at both ends. When your spring is properly seated, you should still have a little travel left in the spring when 7 rounds are loaded. Then the mag will feed perfectly every time.
