The pin set screws are set with Loctite® at the specific tension we recommend, and will generally never need an adjustment. Tightening the base pad screw is not recommended and may be difficult because the screw is set with Loctite®; trying to force the set screw to turn could result in stripping the screw. We do not warranty base pads for stripped heads on set screws or pins lost in result of tampering with the set screw.

This Taran Tactical Innovations GLOCK base pad is designed for the GLOCK 43. This TTI base pad adds 2 extra rounds to the magazine. We use our patented push pin design to lock the base pad to the magazine, which makes for easy field stripping and cleaning of your magazine. Just push down the pin, slide the base pad on and push the pin up to lock it onto the magazine. Our one piece design is great because there are no extra parts or tools needed to attach the base pad to your magazine. The base pad itself is machined out of billet aluminum and is hard anodized to ensure durable long lasting color. All machining and manufacturing is done in the USA.

Taking off the old Glock baseplate is difficult without the right tool. Installing the new base is easy but taking off the new plate is also difficult. The spring slides and somewhat bends while removing the Taran baseplate. A side note... you can install the spring backwards and or damage the spring as noted earlier. Its also very pricey for what you get but the quality is high. I have purchased many of these and never a malfunction.
Great extension for glock 43 - I ended up testing a few different mag extension parts from glock store and the taran tactical one is much better than any on glock store. The extension feels nice, its a nice and smooth and fits my hand nicely and also gives my an extra +2 from the factory mag. Taran also includes a spring which helps - most of the other extension products out there don't come with a spring. I've now ordered 2 for all my current mags and plan on ordering more if I get more mags.
