The pin set screws are set with Loctite® at the specific tension we recommend, and will generally never need an adjustment. Tightening the base pad screw is not recommended and may be difficult because the screw is set with Loctite®; trying to force the set screw to turn could result in stripping the screw. We do not warranty base pads for stripped heads on set screws or pins lost in result of tampering with the set screw.

This Taran Tactical Innovations GLOCK base pad is designed for the GLOCK 43. This TTI base pad adds 2 extra rounds to the magazine. We use our patented push pin design to lock the base pad to the magazine, which makes for easy field stripping and cleaning of your magazine. Just push down the pin, slide the base pad on and push the pin up to lock it onto the magazine. Our one piece design is great because there are no extra parts or tools needed to attach the base pad to your magazine. The base pad itself is machined out of billet aluminum and is hard anodized to ensure durable long lasting color. All machining and manufacturing is done in the USA.

Absolutely please with the +1 and +3 that I purchased. The +1 adds a round yet it is still as easy to conceal as a flush factory magazine. The +3 with the 10% stronger spring took a few times of loading it, and leaving a full mag overnight for the spring to loosen up a little bit. It works flawlessly now and loads with ease. Also the flat back color should be called Glock black, it matches almost perfectly.
The size comparison between the flush factory mag against the +1 from Taran is so minuscule, that I recommend it to anyone I come across that has a G43. Installation is a bit of a pain if you don't look up instructions as to leave out the factory spring pad, but that was my fault. would/will buy again.
I swapped two mag base plates in under 10 minutes at my kitchen table. Getting your original off can be a little tough. Just look closely at it and you'll figure it out. The extension is perfect for my pinky.
