The pin set screws are set with Loctite® at the specific tension we recommend, and will generally never need an adjustment. Tightening the base pad screw is not recommended and may be difficult because the screw is set with Loctite®; trying to force the set screw to turn could result in stripping the screw. We do not warranty base pads for stripped heads on set screws or pins lost in result of tampering with the set screw.

This Taran Tactical Innovations GLOCK base pad is designed for the GLOCK 43. This TTI base pad adds 2 extra rounds to the magazine. We use our patented push pin design to lock the base pad to the magazine, which makes for easy field stripping and cleaning of your magazine. Just push down the pin, slide the base pad on and push the pin up to lock it onto the magazine. Our one piece design is great because there are no extra parts or tools needed to attach the base pad to your magazine. The base pad itself is machined out of billet aluminum and is hard anodized to ensure durable long lasting color. All machining and manufacturing is done in the USA.

The quality of the actual product itself is perfect, no complaints there. However, this tiny part is 30 damn dollars. After shipping costs its just barely under $40! The price for this item is absolutely outrageous. Many other companies produce the same quality product at half the cost. The amount of time it took to ship out was also horrid, especially considering this thing is barely the size of a piece of chewing gum. Now with reliability, it took a nosedive, literally. The heavier defense loads you should carry in your gun constantly fail to feed because these pads don't come with a stronger spring like they should. They're just using the original spring and making it do more work. At this price you would expect the product to ship with a new and slightly stronger spring, but no. It worked at first but it only took a 100 or so rounds to start failing left and right. Going back to stock mags or a different company's base-plate. For now, it is not safe for you to carry. TTI Rep: I wish you left some information for us to contact you. I have looked thru our system and I have only found 3 accounts under the name Kody and only one that has placed a order for the 43 basepads. The basepads that were order by this Kody were a +2 basepad for a 43, which is supposed to come with a stronger spring. Give us a call at the shop and we will send you out the proper spring. We are sorry that we did not get you the spring when we shipped out your original order. This should take care of your FTF. If this is not you just give me a call at the shop and I can assist you with the given issue you are currently encountering. A solid item, very well made. I was worried about spring tension but has fed flawlessly through 500 rounds over the past two days. Loked it so much i bought another two days after i got this one and will be swapping out other extension on other glocks for Taran's.. great product looking forward to them being on more of my firearms!!!!
