`+4 Base Pad For CZ 9mm 17/18 Round Magazines

$34.99 - $35.99

Not for sale to California residents. A courtesy email will be sent to CA residents who place an order for a base pad that has the capability of taking a magazine past ten rounds. Ultimately a refund will be issued. CA residents can only purchase +0 base pads and GLOCK 43 and GLOCK 42 base pads. The 43 and 42 base pads do not take the mag capacity past ten rounds.

The pin set screws are set with Loctite® at the specific tension we recommend, and will generally never need an adjustment. Tightening the base pad screw is not recommended and may be difficult because the screw is set with Loctite®; trying to force the set screw to turn could result in stripping the screw. We do not warranty base pads for stripped heads on set screws or pins lost in result of tampering with the set screw.

When installing the TTI base pad:

  • Remove the metal insert at the bottom before installation
  • Does not come with an allen key. Screw is set with Loc-tite to achieve our recommended tension with the pin. If the pin is very loose use a 1/16 allen (hex) to tighten it, but be careful to not strip the screw.

The Taran Tactical Innovations CZ base pad adds 4 extra rounds to the CZ 17/18 round magazines, making the 17/18 round Mec-Gar magazines capable of holding 21 rounds in the magazine and 1 in the chamber. The TTI CZ base pad, just like all of our base pads are designed to give you the edge over your adversaries. We use our patented push pin design to lock the base pad to the magazine, which makes for easy field stripping and cleaning between stages. Just push the down the pin, slide the base pad onto the magazine and push the pin up to lock the base pad onto the magazine. Our one piece design is great because there are no extra parts or tools needed to attach the base pad to your magazine. The base pad itself is machined out of billet aluminum and is hard anodized to ensure durable long lasting color. All machining and manufacturing is done in the USA.

  • Great mag extensions, but had some small issues

I own a CZ 75 sp01 which has been cajunized and dressed up with shadow parts. I ordered 3 mecgar 17 round mags and 3 Taran tactical +4 baseplates. The mags with the stock baseplates functioned out of the gun fairly well, just barely got a little sticky upon mag release with the slide locked back. However with the Taran tactical baseplates the magazines would for some reason would not drop free with the slide locked back. Since the stock CZ mags drop free without issue and the stock mecgar mags also seem to function fine, I decided to order plus power magazine springs to see if they made a difference. I ordered 3 Wolff 10% springs from Midway usa. And though it was a little more difficult to load the mags, the magazines would function perfectly and drop free with an empty mag and the slide locked back. I highly suggest getting plus power springs with these baseplates if you ever intend to shoot ipsc or 3 gun

After procrastinating for sometime due to non-existence of reviews when used on a CZ Customs magwell I finally took the plunge and boy it did fit! Just like any other TTI base pads I have used in the past, these pads for my CZ fits tight and secure. Highly recommended for ease of removal and cleaning. Thank you Taran and Landon

The basepads are great, came fast, and were easy to install. I have Taran pads on my Glock and AR mags. These were purchased for my CZ75 and the new USPSA rule allowing 140mm full capacity magazines in the CO division. Now the BUT.. as mentioned in another review, be careful as they are ONLY legal in the 17 round or less magazines. I had a few 17s but most of my original factory mags (10) which came with my guns, are 18 round and the extensions will make your magazine length way too long and therefore illegal for USPSA or IPSC competitions. Also as a side note: if you take the +2 bases off the Mec Gar 17 round mags replace with the +4 Tarans, they fit the gauge, but do not move those +2 Mec pads to the CZ 18 round mags as this again will make them too long. In this case you can grind the corner off the +2 Mec base and make them fit the gauge.
