This Taran Tactical Innovations M&P Shield base pad works on any full sized M&P Shield 9mm and 40 S&W handguns. This TTI base pad does add a little extra weight to the magazine which helps the empty mag drop free easier for faster reloads. This TTI M&P base pad, just like all of our base pads, is designed to give you the edge over your adversaries. The base pad is machined out of aircraft aluminum and is hard anodized to ensure durable long lasting color. All machining and manufacturing is done in the USA.

Precise fit, easy installation, gives a perfect full hand grip with the benefit of +2 rounds of 9mm. Design and construction is very high quality, and performance is flawless, and functionality with factory springs is a huge plus. No fails or misfeeds, and the bit of additional weight helps the magazine fall free when ejected empty. I couldn’t be happier and will definitely be doing much more business with Taran Tactical!!
It goes on quick and easy; just find the review of how to take the current base off, read the instructions on the new one, and inside 20 minutes you'll have an awesome extended magazine!
The base plates installed perfectly and the +2 works great. BUT, with the action closed, I had a really hard time getting the magazine to lock into place. This makes my extended magazines usable for reload only, not working for extended carry +1. If I am missing something in the installation, please let me know!
