This Taran Tactical Innovations M&P Shield base pad works on any full sized M&P Shield 9mm and 40 S&W handguns. This TTI base pad does add a little extra weight to the magazine which helps the empty mag drop free easier for faster reloads. This TTI M&P base pad, just like all of our base pads, is designed to give you the edge over your adversaries. The base pad is machined out of aircraft aluminum and is hard anodized to ensure durable long lasting color. All machining and manufacturing is done in the USA.

The base plates installed perfectly and the +2 works great. BUT, with the action closed, I had a really hard time getting the magazine to lock into place. This makes my extended magazines usable for reload only, not working for extended carry +1. If I am missing something in the installation, please let me know!
The fit and finish of the cap I got was great. Easy installation. However, with a full magazine (10 rounds) with either a round the in the chamber or not, it is hard to seat magazine in gun. It takes a good whack to make sure to seat it.
