This Taran Tactical Innovations M&P Shield base pad works on any full sized M&P Shield 9mm and 40 S&W handguns. This TTI base pad does add a little extra weight to the magazine which helps the empty mag drop free easier for faster reloads. This TTI M&P base pad, just like all of our base pads, is designed to give you the edge over your adversaries. The base pad is machined out of aircraft aluminum and is hard anodized to ensure durable long lasting color. All machining and manufacturing is done in the USA.

I had to really force it to get a full 10 round mag into my shield with the slide closed. I removed the base pad and trimmed two links off the spring, now it works the way it should. I was a little disappointed at first, but now I’m happy with the end result. TTI Rep: This is not a common issue. The basepad was designed to be used with the stock spring. If one runs into this issue please call the shop before trimming coils. There are a few other things that might result in not getting full capacity. We would like to exhaust those option before recommending cutting the spring. LT
