Great magwell for Gen 5 Glock 17 MOS
When I first received my Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS FS, I thought it was the best Glock made to date. It came with a factory magwell funnel molded right into the frame. However I was left wanting a bit more, but wanted it to still be concealable for an EDC carry gun. I spent a lot of time comparing reviews of a variety of magwells, even though I was already leaning very heavily in favor of TTI. In the end TTI won out and I could not be happier. The TTI carry magwell gives a larger funnel while maintaining a low profile for carry. One question I had when buying this was would it still accept Glock gen 5 magazines with the larger factory base plate. I can can confirm that indeed it does, however I would not recommend using the factory Glock base plates as they do not stick out of the bottom of the magwell. So in the event that you should need to manually strip the magazine there is not much to grab onto, thus requiring fine motor skills which is not desirable while under stress. This is why I also ordered a variety of TTI base plates to go with the magwell. Even the +0 carry model gives enough extra to allow you to strip a magazine much easier. This magwell is very well designed and works with the MOS model which does not have the half moon cut on the front of the frame. It is very sturdy and secure. The weight and profile were kept low so it does not add much to your carry weapon and does not create any additional issues with printing. I also really like that the fastener is a hidden set screw, it makes for a much cleaner appearance, however I wish the one I received was black like in the picture rather than silver. I do use this magwell for both carry and competition and I love it, and the cool factor of having a TTI product on your Glock never hurts either.
