The pin set screws are set with Loctite® at the specific tension we recommend, and will generally never need an adjustment. Tightening the base pad screw is not recommended and may be difficult because the screw is set with Loctite®; trying to force the set screw to turn could result in stripping the screw. We do not warranty base pads for stripped heads on set screws or pins lost in result of tampering with the set screw.>

This Taran Tactical Innovations GLOCK base pad is designed for the GLOCK 42. It adds 1 extra round to the magazine and is only a 8th of an inch longer than the stock base pad. We use our patented push pin design to lock the base pad to the magazine, which makes for easy field stripping and cleaning of your magazine. Just push down the pin, slide the base pad on and push the pin up to lock it onto the magazine. Our one piece design is great because there are no extra parts or tools needed to attach the base pad to your magazine. The base pad itself is machined out of billet aluminum and is hard anodized to ensure durable long lasting color. All machining and manufacturing is done in the USA.

The fit and finish is excellent. One extra, crucial round of 9mm, without a noticeable size difference is huge. I carry my G42 and G43 with the +1 installed and the +2 as a backup mag. The +2 makes these guns sweet to shoot on the range too. I have large/ extra large hands and the +2 allows me to fully wrap my hand on the grip, while the +1 gives me a solid 3.5 finger hold.
Installed the +1 and +2 basepads on my 42. Very easy to install. The +2 extension makes the grip much better. Product is very well made and fits perfectly. I would recommend these to anyone looking to add magazine capacity on the 42. I will be getting extensions for my 19 Gen5.
Recently purchased these extensions along with the Taran Magwell. Excellent products! Magwell sits perfectly in my weapon and the set screw is completely flush (had issues with the set screw on a magwell from another company). Extenders add just enough weight to the empty mag to ensure they fall on reload. I cannot say enough good things about the company so I will just say this... If you have an issues, let the folks at Taran know, they will always make it right.
