As a police officer and constantly shooting, this product is so amazing. I will never try another product again since finding Taran tactical. Looking forward to the 5/6 .40 cals. I just ordered.
The pin set screws are set with Loctite® at the specific tension we recommend, and will generally never need an adjustment. Tightening the base pad screw is not recommended and may be difficult because the screw is set with Loctite®; trying to force the set screw to turn could result in stripping the screw. We do not warranty base pads for stripped heads on set screws or pins lost in result of tampering with the set screw.>

This Taran Tactical Innovations GLOCK base pad is designed for the GLOCK 42. It adds 1 extra round to the magazine and is only a 8th of an inch longer than the stock base pad. We use our patented push pin design to lock the base pad to the magazine, which makes for easy field stripping and cleaning of your magazine. Just push down the pin, slide the base pad on and push the pin up to lock it onto the magazine. Our one piece design is great because there are no extra parts or tools needed to attach the base pad to your magazine. The base pad itself is machined out of billet aluminum and is hard anodized to ensure durable long lasting color. All machining and manufacturing is done in the USA.

I like it a lot. Least obtrusive way to get + 1 round and it is machined metal. Last round loads fine into the mag and all rounds feed into the breech ok so the stock spring pressure is not a problem. The retention pin makes for easier removal of the base compared to the original base, but I had to remove my grip frame plug for the mag to fit properly. Maybe I can modify the plug though. As a constructive criticism, the base pad forward edge could be made to better align with the frame grip. I am not looking for a plinky rest, but the mag would look better and feel better if it would line up with the front of the frame grip like the original base.
This was easy to install, works great, and was a present for my daughter. Only the best for my daughter!
