The pin set screws are set with Loctite® at the specific tension we recommend, and will generally never need an adjustment. Tightening the base pad screw is not recommended and may be difficult because the screw is set with Loctite®; trying to force the set screw to turn could result in stripping the screw. We do not warranty base pads for stripped heads on set screws or pins lost in result of tampering with the set screw.

This Taran Tactical Innovations M&P base pad works on any full sized M&P handgun. This base pad does add a little extra weight to the magazine which helps the empty mag drop free easier for faster reloads. This M&P base pad, just like all of our base pads, is designed to give you the edge over your adversaries. We use our patented push pin design to lock the base pad to the magazine, which makes for easy field stripping and cleaning your magazines between stages. Just push down the pin, slide the base pad on and push the pin up to lock the base pad onto the magazine. Our one piece design is great because there are no extra parts or tools needed to attach the base pad to your magazine. The base pad itself is machined out of billet aluminum and is hard anodized to ensure durable long lasting color. All machining and manufacturing is done in the USA.
The best base pads on the market. I was accidentally shipped the incorrect ones and I called customer service and they immediately took care of the issue as I sent the incorrect ones back and had the correct ones by the end of the week. Great products and customer service! Thanks again!
So just got mine. Looks great and well made. When I put them on my m2.0 the mag would not release from the mag well. I'm going to save you some time. The problem is the back strap key. It puts pressure on the mag when the ext is on and prevents it from dropping. You need to take the back strap key off and sand down the part facing the mag. After a few tries the I was able take enough off to allow the mag to drop freely. There will be a bigger gap with a regular mag but it's hardly noticeable.
My communist state of Washington has a "high capacity magazine" ban going into effect July 1st and needed these before then. Pretty sure the people at TT knew that as well and got these base pads to me ridiculously fast. They're better than I thought they would be and easy to install with the very informative instructions. I'm looking forward to purchasing more TT products as soon as I can escape the clutches of communism here in Washington State. Thank you guys for amazing service and an awesome product.
