This base pad will add 2 extra rounds in 9mm, and 1 extra round in .40 Caliber to the magazine.

This Taran Tactical Innovations M&P Shield base pad works on any full sized M&P Shield 9mm and 40 S&W handguns. This TTI base pad does add a little extra weight to the magazine which helps the empty mag drop free easier for faster reloads. This TTI M&P base pad, just like all of our base pads, is designed to give you the edge over your adversaries. The base pad is machined out of aircraft aluminum and is hard anodized to ensure durable long lasting color. All machining and manufacturing is done in the USA.

A family member purchased this for his pistol awhile back. I had a chance to check it out before ordering for myself. I knew coming from Taran Tactical it would be a quality part. I purchased 2 in gloss black, only because flat black was out of stock. They fit and function perfectly.
Outstanding quality all the way around! Very easy to install. This base pad is a must for anyone with large hands. Extremely well manufactured to match grip and aesthetics of your Shield. I strongly recommend getting one for each magazine you have as I have.
