This Taran Tactical Innovations M&P Shield base pad works on any full sized M&P Shield 9mm and 40 S&W handguns. This TTI base pad does add a little extra weight to the magazine which helps the empty mag drop free easier for faster reloads. This TTI M&P base pad, just like all of our base pads, is designed to give you the edge over your adversaries. The base pad is machined out of aircraft aluminum and is hard anodized to ensure durable long lasting color. All machining and manufacturing is done in the USA.

I've purchased a handful of products from TTI and I think this is definitely one of the most valuable. I absolutely hated the stock S&W Shield 8 round magazine with the sleeve that fit over the magazine. The TTI extension breathes life into your magazine. It looks amazing, adds a little weight to the bottom for ease of mag drop, and gives you additional capacity. My 1 negative of the extension is that for some reason I'm only able to fit 9 rounds into the magazine when a round is chambered. It can fit 10 rounds, however with the round in the chamber I can't fully seat the magazine. Regardless, it's more than I had before so I'm certainly happy with the TTI mag extension.
Received 2 extensions within a week. Install was easy and requires little knowledge. Couldn’t be happier with the whole process and the way it looks! My only complaint would be that the package came with 1 longer mag spring and no where did it tell me for which mag it went to (I ordered one for a glock and another for a m&p). But, the spring is not for this one, it’s for the glock. I will not buy any other extension!
