This Taran Tactical Innovations M&P Shield base pad works on any full sized M&P Shield 9mm and 40 S&W handguns. This TTI base pad does add a little extra weight to the magazine which helps the empty mag drop free easier for faster reloads. This TTI M&P base pad, just like all of our base pads, is designed to give you the edge over your adversaries. The base pad is machined out of aircraft aluminum and is hard anodized to ensure durable long lasting color. All machining and manufacturing is done in the USA.

Works and looks great with my stock shield 8 round mags. Loading to +2 is a little tight, but works great for the first mag. Reloads are smooth at +1 with slide forward. Great upgrade for my EDC since I can carry with 10+1 now. Plus, the added capacity will allow me to more effectively use my Shield in more USPSA and Steel format matches for practice with my EDC.
These function perfectly and look great. Easy to remove for mag cleaning. I would gave 5 stars but the finish is bit slick for personal defense equipment. A textured option would make this a perfect add-on..
The 9 mil S/W Shield 8 round mag with extension. With 10 rounds the mag will not load with the slide forward. Therefore this is a plus one. Base can not be removed because the mag spring is trapped by the lip in the extension. I’m sure you can remove it just not that easy. I do like the feeling of the longer grip with this mag extension.
