TTI EMG Sand Viper
This is my first Airsoft gun, purchased so I can shoot with a local club. Thje gun is very accurate, hitting bullseyes at 30 feet. I shot a complete match with no optic on top, using the shape from behind for aiming. I then added an Olight combo flood light and laser. After sight-in I was hitting center of target without bringing the gun to eye level. I still have to learn how to get a complete fill of gas. One big complaint is that the auto/semi switch was stuck - REALLY stuck - in full-auto. While this was really fun, and the other shooters all wanted to shoot it, it made my first match a total DQ. I did get practice at trying to shoot just a few BBs per full of the trigger. But the action is so fast it was impossible for me to shoot fewer than 5 at a time. All 12 members of our club, all experienced Airsoft shooters, looked at the gun but could not move the selector lever for semi-auto. One is a gunsmith with lots of Airsoft experience. He couldn't get the selector to move until he had worked it over a lot. Since then it has worked perfectly. While I waiting for him to get it working, I ordered another Sand Viper so I could compete. I again ordered the full-auto model. THIS ONE will shoot ONLY in semi-auto. Full-auto can not be selected. Our gunsmith said it does not have the internal works to shoot full auto. The invoice is clearly labeled "FULL AUTO ONLY," but they sent a semi- model that can't be fixed. One great thing, shipping is fast. In my hands it is about like a 1911. Easy to hold and operate. It is as accurate as the first gun. I definitely recommend this gun, especially with its low price. I ordered on line but recommend calling them to specify the model. I wish they offered a higher-capacity magazine, and the silver - unpainted magazines. One comes with the gun, but all others are black. A puzzle: There are many interesting muzzle devices available, and U-Tube videos show them in use. The orange tip is missing. Can I do that legally,or am I just going to miss out on those devices? Sooo, you may like this gun as much as I do, just get it straight with them about what you expect to get.
