The pin set screws are set with Loctite® at the specific tension we recommend, and will generally never need an adjustment. Tightening the base pad screw is not recommended and may be difficult because the screw is set with Loctite®; trying to force the set screw to turn could result in stripping the screw. We do not warranty base pads for stripped heads on set screws or pins lost in result of tampering with the set screw.

This Taran Tactical Innovations XD(M) base pad works on any 19 ROUND XD(M) magazine. This TTI base pad will add 3 extra rounds in 9mm, and 2 extra rounds in .40 Cal to the magazine. The TTI base pad does add a little extra weight to the magazine which helps the empty mag drop free easier for faster reloads. This XD(M) base pad, just like all of our base pads, is designed to give you the edge over your adversaries. We use our patented push pin design to lock the base pad to the magazine, which makes for easy field stripping and cleaning your magazines between stages. Just push down the pin, slide the base pad on and push the pin up to lock the base pad onto the magazine. Our one piece design is great because there are no extra parts or tools needed to attach the base pad to your magazine. The base pad itself is machined out of billet aluminum and is hard anodized to ensure durable long lasting color. All machining and manufacturing is done in the USA.
I ordered 3 of the XDm base plates and I am happy with the look and extra rounds it gives to my magazines. I did notices that in all of them there is some play in the up and down direction. Nothing the set screw or pin can fix. I am 100% sure it will no effect the function of the firearm. Over very happy with the product and can't wait to hit the range.
Picked up 4 of these for my XDM. After getting them and using them in a USPSA match, I picked up four more magazines and then ordered an additional four of these base pads. What I really like about them is that it's fairly easy to remove the base pads during a match if they fall in mud or sand and you need to clean the mag. For each base pad order, you get the base pad and a spring. It would be nice to be able to order additional springs but I haven't seen that here on the site and imagine I'll have to call. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these to anyone. Be warned though...if you get the titanium blue, it won't look like the pic. It's a bit more dull of a blue, almost a pale pastel color. I actually liked the color a bit more since it's not too bright. Great product and I will definitely order more if I buy more mags.
