The pin set screws are set with Loctite® at the specific tension we recommend, and will generally never need an adjustment. Tightening the base pad screw is not recommended and may be difficult because the screw is set with Loctite®; trying to force the set screw to turn could result in stripping the screw. We do not warranty base pads for stripped heads on set screws or pins lost in result of tampering with the set screw.

This Taran Tactical Innovations PPQ base pad works on any full sized PPQ magazine. This TTI base pad will add 5 extra rounds to the magazine. This TTI base pad does add a little extra weight to the magazine which helps the empty mag drop free easier for faster reloads. This TTI PPQ base pad, just like all of our base pads, is designed to give you the edge over your adversaries. We use our patented push pin design to lock the base pad to the magazine, which makes for easy field stripping and cleaning your magazines between stages. Just push down the pin, slide the base pad on and push the pin up to lock the base pad onto the magazine. Our one piece design is great because there are no extra parts or tools needed to attach the base pad to your magazine. The base pad itself is machined out of billet aluminum and is hard anodized to ensure durable long lasting color. All machining and manufacturing is done in the USA.

Product was shipped quickly to me (Texas) - had it within a few days. Base pads were easy to install and increased capacity of my Walther PPQ Q5 Match stock mags to 21 rounds! - The included spring is longer and stiffer than the original so getting that 21st round in requires a little extra force but it will fit. A magazine loader/ speed loader easily allows you to get that last round in.
I ordered two of these for the Walther PPQ. One of them has been flawless. The other has had issues. The screw to keep the base plate in place doesn't hold tight. I thought I had stripped it, but it has all of the threading still and just appears to not function properly. If both functioned as well as the first one I bought, I would order more. Testing it against others from Freelance now. TTI Rep; Our basepad is a tool-less design. There is no need to tighten the screw. We set the screw with lock tite and will result in stripping the screw. Just push the pin down, slide the basepad on, and push the pin up. Thats it. LT
Great baseplate! I bought the +5 140mm for my PPQ Q5 Match. The advertised specs are a bit off. They say its 21+1 But it really is 20 +1 for the 9mm. TTI Rep: When installing the base pad make sure to remove the plastic/metal chip in the bottom of the stock magazine. Leaving the insert in at the bottom of the magazine will result in one less round then advertised. Thank you, Landon T.
