The pin set screws are set with Loctite® at the specific tension we recommend, and will generally never need an adjustment. Tightening the base pad screw is not recommended and may be difficult because the screw is set with Loctite®; trying to force the set screw to turn could result in stripping the screw. We do not warranty base pads for stripped heads on set screws or pins lost in result of tampering with the set screw.

This Taran Tactical Innovations PPQ base pad works on any full sized PPQ magazine. This TTI base pad will add 5 extra rounds to the magazine. This TTI base pad does add a little extra weight to the magazine which helps the empty mag drop free easier for faster reloads. This TTI PPQ base pad, just like all of our base pads, is designed to give you the edge over your adversaries. We use our patented push pin design to lock the base pad to the magazine, which makes for easy field stripping and cleaning your magazines between stages. Just push down the pin, slide the base pad on and push the pin up to lock the base pad onto the magazine. Our one piece design is great because there are no extra parts or tools needed to attach the base pad to your magazine. The base pad itself is machined out of billet aluminum and is hard anodized to ensure durable long lasting color. All machining and manufacturing is done in the USA.

  • Best pads for Q5 SF Match

Hands down best base pad for Q5. Seems to work with any mag well I’ve cross fitted at the range with others (shoulda got a sales commission ha). Some very slight differences in blue color if you are super picky. Adds capacity and grip. Securing pin is a neat design and works great for a factory made “set & forget” design. Will be curious if it stays set after a billion mag drops. Probably will-very well made. TF’s are nice and work “ok”(bought one used to try for fitting and it had some interference in one mag well as i had heard, so I tried TTI and never looked back). I run these in a Q5 SFwith a cross fitted PDP magwell. These are so clean by design. Nice work TTI- never disappointed, always confidently impressed.

This base pad connects and performs great on the Walther PDP F-Series. No feed or clearance issues, and I don’t even have a flared magwell yet. Just follow the break-in instructions. I ran close to 200 rounds through it when I first received it, and it ran flawlessly.
