The Glock Store Tungsten Guide Rod is designed with a slightly lighter spring to allow it to function with a wider range of ammo. This also makes it much easier to pull back the slide which has been a problem for many of our customers.
Of course, the main advantage of the Tungsten Guide Rod is that the added weight helps reduce much of the felt recoil and also makes the gun function better, returning the slide more consistently and thereby improving overall accuracy!
- 3X Heavier then the Factory Plastic Guide Rod.
- Reduces Recoil and Muzzle Flip.
- Wont Break or Bend.
- Faster acquisition for follow up shots.

Scorched Earth Firearms Training LLC has used this recently for classes and it performed beyond our beliefs
These work exactly as advertised. I have no real complaints about these as of yet.
I never really enjoyed shooting the G43 it’s a little snappy. This fixed that and is about double the weight of the stock rod and spring. It really makes a huge difference. No issues with failures. I would and have recommended it to a friend.
I haven't been able to fire the gun so see if the added weight improves the recoil but it surely can't hurt. My wife is able to rack the slide much easier with this new guide rod spring assembly.
Put this in my 43x with the grand master connector kit and its a huge difference. Definitely recommend to do both. Great quality, no malfunctions. Premium upgrades for a decent price.
I did the trigger springs and the guide rod. What a difference. It is a completely different gun. Great trigger and very manageable recoil in my Glock 48.
OEM wobbles when slide is racked. I noticed the tungsten rod is much more stout with zero wobble. Haven’t been to test yet will update after.
Installed Taran Tactical’s (version of The Glock Store’s) RSA, and noticed an immediate reduction in the effort required to rack my G43’s slide. Just what the doctor ordered for my 75 year old arthritic hands. When added to a previously installed Taran Tacticall G43 Connector, a $0.25 action job, and a half dozen Taran Tactical +1 & +2 magazine extensions, resulted in my G43 becoming my favorite CCW pistol.
