TTI Oversized Stainless Steel Guide Rod for Glock 9MM/.40 cal pistols.

Tested by Bob Vogel, Taran Butler and the TTI Team, our TTI Oversized Stainless Steel Guide Rod kits allow you to tune your Glock for optimal performance. Lighter springs will help reduce muzzle dip as the slide returns to battery after each shot. Less muzzle dip gives the shooter the ability to make faster and more accurate followup shots.

If you select Gen 4/5, an adapter will be provided for proper fitment.

Glock 17/34/22/35 Gen 5 guide rods are a different length, please make sure you select the proper model upon purchase.

Springs are selected per model to ensure safe and efficient cycling. Spring rates per model are as follows:

  • Glock 19, 13 lb
  • Glock 23, 18 lb
  • Glock 17/34/17L, 15 lb
  • Glock 22/35/24, 18 lb

*Taran Tactical recommends that you go to a certified gunsmith or Glock armorer for installation*

  • It fixed the dip

With a red dot on the G34 gen5 MOS, I was getting muzzle dip when the slide went back into battery. I guess it was the extra mass of the dot. The stainless guide rod and 14lb spring corrected for that.

I recommend the TTI Oversized Stainless Guide Rod – for Glock – It is a definite BUY! I am an aspiring competitive shooter and formerly competed with a 1911. Somewhere along the line someone put a plastic gun in my hand and I never looked back. Glock’s guide rod and recoil spring assembly is a fine piece of engineering, but in my opinion, it has its limitations; and the plastic guide rod assembly is in fact a disposable part. If you are into shooting sports, then you will probably agree the devil is in the details when it comes to putting together a piece that fits your own style of shooting. I feel a one-piece, stainless steel guide rod is a particularly important detail. I run a production Glock 17 with Talon PRO Grips, a polished OE trigger, reduced power springs, and Taran’s TTI Ultimate Fiber Optic Set. The TTI guide rod is the proverbial icing on the cake. Upon installation I noted an improvement in my groups – a bit tighter – and I was able to shoot faster. The front sight returns faster and the muzzle dip – as the slide returns forward – is noticeably less than with the Glock rod. In respect to ammo I practice with whatever is cheap but shoot a PF of 130ish while pretending I am Robert Vogel. The TTI Stainless Steel Guide Rod really shines when you run a lower power factor. Overall, this part is of great quality, fits perfectly and delivers outstanding performance all for about the cost of an OE Glock magazine.

I went to the range to try out my new recoil spring and guide rod with my stock g17 and was very happy with the results! I shot a g17 with and without the TTi recoil spring and guide rod and was able to feel the difference in recoil as soon as I switched between the two. Overall my first impression is it’s a very cost effective upgrade that didn’t negatively affect the functionality of my Glock. Thanks for another great product TTi.
