The pin set screws are set with Loctite® at the specific tension we recommend, and will generally never need an adjustment. Tightening the base pad screw is not recommended and may be difficult because the screw is set with Loctite®; trying to force the set screw to turn could result in stripping the screw. We do not warranty base pads for stripped heads on set screws or pins lost in result of tampering with the set screw.

This Taran Tactical Innovations PPQ base pad works on any full sized PPQ magazine. This TTI base pad will add 5 extra rounds to the magazine. This TTI base pad does add a little extra weight to the magazine which helps the empty mag drop free easier for faster reloads. This TTI PPQ base pad, just like all of our base pads, is designed to give you the edge over your adversaries. We use our patented push pin design to lock the base pad to the magazine, which makes for easy field stripping and cleaning your magazines between stages. Just push down the pin, slide the base pad on and push the pin up to lock the base pad onto the magazine. Our one piece design is great because there are no extra parts or tools needed to attach the base pad to your magazine. The base pad itself is machined out of billet aluminum and is hard anodized to ensure durable long lasting color. All machining and manufacturing is done in the USA.

Extremely nice quality. I got the standard blue and its a little brighter then the Q5 factory blue magwell and maybe a little brighter than the blue on the trigger. I think though the titanium blue would not have even been close. My only issue is the length of the retention pin when pushed up flush with the bottom of the base pad... hits the magwell when inserted causing the pin to push back down. It actually interferes with proper insertion until it is pushed back. I almost wish they did a retention screw or something instead. I may look at removing that pin and filing it down a bit to clear the magwell and allow it to be flush with the bottom of the base pad. I would easily give this 5 stars if the retention pin did not interfere. The blue is very close, granted not perfect if you are trying to be all match-y match-y. If that is going to bother you just go black or a different color all together.
Took a plunge for my q5 sf pro and boy it it work well. No problems whatsoever in terms of quality and function on the q5. The only problem that I had was I wish I had a bigger budget to order 10+ more in different colors. :). Thanks to Taran for a great product!!!!
