Short and crisp

This spring allows you to shorten and really keep it smooth. I’m not a competition shooter in the 3gun world but I shoot a lot of different clay games along with a good bit of bird hunting. Shotguns are my main gun I use and these springs made my Benelli a lot more comfortable too shoot.
WOW it worked

M2 went from 5+ to 3 1/2 pounds with hammer spring and about 5 minutes of time
Noticeable Trigger Pull Reduction
Posted by JRemy on Aug 27th 2019
Installation was no issue and did it within 5 minutes of finally being able to sit down and accomplish the task. Installed put the gun back together to test fire the gun and make sure it worked properly in a dry fire. There was a noticeable reduction in trigger pull.
I bought this in addition to the reduce hammer spring as I took my shotgun out for some trap shooting and noticed it struggled with the light loads. With the combination of the two, it seemed to dramatically reduce the action pull back as well. I go back out next week for some fun and will see how well everything holds up then.
reduced versa max trigger pull to 5.5 lbs from 8.25 lbs

Installation was super easy on Rem Versa Max Synthetic. Only installed the trigger reset spring, lessened the pull to 5.5 lbs from 8.25 lbs. This is a bird gun and occasional skeet gun, so it brought it to acceptable level. Worked fine with 1145 fps Federal and Winchester target loads, no issues with trigger reset on doubles. After early dove season I'll replace the hammer spring and see how much it lowers it from 5.5 lbs

So this is the missing link it turns out. If you want your benelli m4 to run silky smooth and ultra fast. Replace this spring as well as the trigger spring. It makes a World of difference.
Modest reduction in trigger pull.

Trigger plus hammer spring reduced trigger pull from 6.5 pounds to 4.5 pounds. As expensive as the springs and shipping were I had anticipated a trigger pull in the 3-4 pound range. Obviously my expectations were higher than reality.

The Benelli M4 trigger is about 2 pounds lighter with this spring.

Easy to fix hard versa max trigger

Good upgrade for the SBE1/2 for hunting. I put these in my SBE2 for hunting and I am already shooting better. I have a Shotkam on my gun and can see me pulling the gun to the left on days when I am wearing a heavy jacket.
There are some good videos in YouTube showing how to install.
Reduced Stock trigger pull by 3#
Posted by Matt on Nov 14th 2017
My original trigger pull on a stock Benelli M4 was average 9 5/8 # using 5 measurements on a timmney trigger weight gauge. I knew it was a tough pull, but dang! So I installed just the trigger spring since I need a set of retaining ring pliers to install the hammer spring. I used a set of tweezers and a small punch to do the install. It was easy. This was my first experience installing anything on a gun. After the install I was reading an average of 6 1/4 pound. I will install the hammer spring when the pliers come in.
