This base plate works great and no reliability issues. Glock 19 now hold 17+1 rounds for a total of 18 rounds with a very minimal change.
The pin set screws are set with Loctite® at the specific tension we recommend, and will generally never need an adjustment. Tightening the base pad screw is not recommended and may be difficult because the screw is set with Loctite®; trying to force the set screw to turn could result in stripping the screw. We do not warranty base pads for stripped heads on set screws or pins lost in result of tampering with the set screw.

The Taran Tactical Innovations GLOCK +2/3 base pad works on GLOCK models 19/23. This base pad will add 3 extra rounds in 9mm and 2 extra rounds in 40 Caliber to the magazine. This base pad does add a little extra weight to the magazine which helps the empty mag drop free easier for faster reloads. This TTI GLOCK base pad, just like all of our base pads, is designed to give you the edge over your adversaries. We use our patented push pin design to lock the base pad to the magazine, which makes for easy field stripping and cleaning your magazines between stages. Just push down the pin, slide the base pad onto the magazine and push the pin up to lock the base pad onto the magazine. Our one piece design is great because there are no extra parts or tools needed to attach the base pad to your magazine. The base pad itself is machined out of billet aluminum and is hard anodized to ensure durable long lasting color. All machining and manufacturing is done in the USA.

Just bought my 3rd set of mag base plates from Taran after being advised that the 4/5 kit for 9/40 didn't work with Glock 19. Fair enough. I returned my original set to DSG arms at a 20% loss and ordered 2 more from TT. Turns out they don't work with G19 10rd mags period. Despite providing that info the first time, they advised I order their G19/23 set. Now $90 later, I have 2 base pads I can't use. When notified about it, Taran just stopped responding to emails. Last purchase I'll make to TT. TTI Rep; 10 magazines are for states that have high cap laws. With that being said, we do not have any product that will help someone manufacture a "high cap" magazine (convert a 10 round mag to hold more then 10 rounds). Everyone at TTI knows this because we are in a state that has a 10rd law.
I got these when my agency switched to 9mm from .45. I wanted something that was easier to remove for cleaning than the originals and was TOUGH and RELIABLE. I couldn't be happier-they run flawlessly, they are tough as nails and don't protrude to far from the base of the grip and +4 rounds is AWESOME! The pin in rear of the mag is also great...smooth as butter. Well worth the price.
